Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is an 8-10 hour self-paced e-learning course that provides a visual introduction to the financial markets. BMC consists of 4 modules – Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income and Equities – woven together from Bloomberg data, news, analytics and television.

BMC is free for JCU users from one of the terminals. The subscription is, however, only available on Bloomberg terminals. When you register to get started you will be required to create a dedicatedlogin, from which you can access the modules dashboard.

On the first access, you will be asked toSign up. Choose to continue as aLearner; you will be prompted to a new page:

HitLaunch course: the default browser will open to youraccount onthe Bloomberg Education portal, where you can start the 4 modules. After the first time, theLog In with SSOoption will directly lead you to theLaunch course page. On the browser, please selectCertificatesand thenBloomberg Market Concepts:

By clicking on BMC on the top menu you will access the Bloomberg Market Concepts page, where you can work through the different modules and check your progress.You can pause and resume the module whenever you want.

To earn the certificate only the 4 modules with the certificate icon are required.
