New York University is one of the best schools in the world for investment banking recruiting. NYU's business program, Stern, places dozens of people into the top investment banks every year.

NYU ranks #2 by number of U.S. investment banking analysts placed, topped only by UPenn. NYU's student body has a strong focus on investment banking and its proximity to New York gives it incredible access to top firms.

Stern is recognized globally for its top-tier undergraduate and MBA business programs. NYU has a strong global presence with satellite locations in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. NYU is an incredibly diverse school with over 20% of the student body coming from international sources.

NYU ranks #2 by total number of hires but ranks #5 in our weighted ranking, which factors in NYU's large school size. However, one could certainly argue that the vast majority of placements come from Stern and our weighted ranking unfairly discredits NYU.

NYU places the most investment banking hires into Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, which contributes to the school's respectable Elite Firm Hires % of 46%.

We note that NYU's placement into private equity is significantly worse than one might expect given its heavy numbers into investment banking.
