Highlights

  • Fallout 76 player recreates iconic Nuketown map from Call of Duty games using CAMP feature.
  • Regular updates expand Fallout 76 gameplay, including CAMP system for creative player builds.
  • Nuketown CAMP features accurate layout, furnishings, and may see improvements with future updates.

A Fallout 76 player has made a replica of the iconic Nuketown map from various Call of Duty games. Nuketown has been a prominent Call of Duty location since the release of Black Ops, and this Fallout 76 player used the CAMP feature to recreate it.

While it was released to a mixed response, Fallout 76 has garnered a sizeable community through regular updates. These updates have expanded upon the fundamentals of the game, including the CAMP system. The CAMP is unlocked early in the game but requires the use of Junk items for wood, metal, and other materials. Because of this, players will need to explore and loot various locations around the map before expanding their CAMP. Gamers have utilized the Fallout 76 CAMP feature to create outposts dedicated to new players, the Barbie house, and the first Call of Duty Zombies map. One gamer has spent countless hours and resources recreating Nuketown as their own CAMP.

Fallout 76 Season 17 Launches With First-Ever Map Expansion

Fallout 76 Season 17, Skyline Valley, is now available, introducing the game's first-ever proper map expansion and plenty of new content and rewards.

Reddit user RyanGosliwafflez recently shared 18 images of their Fallout 76 Nuketown-themed CAMP to highlight it from every angle. The first few screenshots of their CAMP are from a birds-eye perspective to highlight the accurate layout of the buildings and vehicles. Going beyond having an exterior for each building, the gamer has also furnished the interiors with Fallout 76 Nuka Cola items, plants, kitchenware, and more. Because the bus object hadn't been added before this build, both central map vehicles are blue trucks that have attached trailers. This CAMP even includes the memorable Nuketown sign which states the town's population next to a Vault Boy poster.

How Does the Fallout 76 Nuketown Compare to the Original?

Call of Duty players may have experienced Nuketown in Black Ops or one of its sequels, and this Nuketown replica is uncannily familiar. Although it lacks the Call of Duty touch, the Fallout 76 aesthetic matches the retro feel of the original map accurately. While Fallout 76 features PvP options, it's unlikely that players will be able to participate in Team Deathmatch on this version of Nuketown any time soon. While some of the objects in this build seem to have been purchased, many items can be accessed by any CAMP enthusiast. Beyond Fallout 76, Fallout 4 has an extensive Settlement-building tool that could enable creative players to make a similar map of their own.

With Nuketown being the second Call of Duty location this player has recreated in Fallout 76, they may continue to dedicate CAMPs to the FPS. As Bethesda continues to update Fallout 76 regularly, new items could make this Nuketown build even more accurate in the future.
